The Parsons Center for Health & Wellness

The Parsons Center for Health and Wellness

The Parsons Center for Health and Wellness is the home of Southwest Center for HIV/AIDS, McDowell Healthcare Center (operated by Maricopa Integrated Health System), Avella Specialty Pharmacy and holds a variety of events inside its meeting and event spaces.

Location

Conveniently located on light rail, the Center provides a one-stop location for HIV/AIDS prevention, education, mental health, wellness, nutrition and primary care services including a specialty pharmacy, vitamin shop, and community spaces.

The Parsons Center is strategically situated in the revitalized downtown arts and business district, minutes from restaurants, the world-renowned Translational Genomics Research Institute, Arizona State University’s downtown campus and the University of Arizona Cancer Center. Located across from a light rail station, the center is just a 30-minute ride from Sky Harbor International Airport.

A Vision Made Possible

The center was made possible by a $3.6 million City of Phoenix Bond funded by the 2006 bond election approved by Phoenix voters and from Bob and Renee Parsons, who generously donated more than $8 million.

In addition to millions in private donations and countless volunteer advocates, the expanded facility also includes a multi-purpose conference/ballroom for health-related staging-performances, workshops, conferences and meetings. The Bob & Renee Parsons Foundation main lobby has been designed to feature an art gallery showcasing works from local artists.
